Humptulips River Fishing
We offer full day and half day Guided Humptulips River Fishing Trips nearly year round. The “Hump” is well known for it’s amazing runs of FRESH Chinook Salmon (King) and Coho Salmon (Silvers), as well as its massive Steelhead! The Humptulips River Fishing is nearly year-round. Whether its King Salmon, Coho Salmon, Chum Salmon, Steelhead or Cutthroat Trout, there is almost always an opportunity to catch a nice fish!
Our Guide Service starts offering Humptulips River Guided Fishing Trips in late August to early September when the Kings start showing up. The run on the Humptulips River seems to last longer then nearly any other river in the State of Washington and the fish are big. Every year, King Salmon in the 40-50 pound range are taken from this river, and if caught at the right time, can be some of the brightest fish you will see come out of any river. It is not uncommon to catch Kings all the way into November.
Somewhere between the beginning to middle of September we start seeing a good run of Chum Salmon and Coho Salmon entering the system and they last until around Thanksgiving. Like the Kings, the Humptulips River produces some gorgeous Coho Salmon that are pretty hefty too and the best of all…. They are feisty! The Coho Salmon in the Humptulips River are well known for their take-downs and although they lack the size of the King Salmon, they definitely fight like they are the Kings of the River.
Shortly after the run of Chum Salmon and Silver Salmon end, the Winter Steelhead begin to show up. With a Steelhead in the 20 pound range not being uncommon, this river gets hit hard by anglers and it helps to know exactly where these big guys are holding. During our Humptulips River Guided Fishing Trips we use a wide range of fishing techniques on this river from pulling plugs to floating bobber and jigs. We also offer Spey Fishing Trips for Steelhead in certain conditions.
The Humptulips River Guided Fishing Trips are a definite favorite of ours and after a trip with us, you will see why!
